The National Alternative Break Awards are the highest honors given to alternative break programs, community partner organizations, and exemplary individuals.
Winners in the past have secured institutional funding and staff positions as a result of their designation as national alternative break award recipients.

Alternative Break T-Shirt of the Year
Nominations were vetted by National Awards Committees made up of past award winners, alternative break alumni, and former Break Away staff and Board of Directors members. Current Break Away Board and staff members are not eligible to submit nominations nor are involved in the selections process.
Winners receive national recognition including: a letter of congratulations, the presentation of an award at the 2016 ABCs, a spotlight on one of our National Conference Calls, a letter to the institution president, and complimentary Break Away products and services.
